Fintech in Italy: Semrush's study on technofinance

The development of Fintech in the financial world is transforming the way people manage money, transactions and business, giving rise to a sector increasingly oriented towards the use of the web and the latest digital technologies. The change we are experiencing also involves an evolution in the marketing strategies of financial organizations that intend to remain competitive in the context of an ever-growing digital space.

What is Fintech?
Let's first clarify what we mean by fintech: this term is a neologism born from the fusion of two English words, finance and technology , and includes all those solutions through which financial companies (such as banks or insurance what is a loan? companies) today offer their services through technologies such as mobile apps and digital platforms.

Given the growing penetration of technologically advanced financial services in our lives and the interest of people, who increasingly google products, services and platforms, we decided to analyze the traffic arriving on Italian Fintech sites to discover the trends of the sector in our country.

In this research we collected and analyzed data from the websites of: online banks, mobile payment technologies, cryptocurrency blockchains and digital currencies.

Fintech Italy: Where Does Current Traffic Come From?
The latest SEMrush study reveals that 62.7% of traffic on Italian Fintech sites is direct . Search brings 28.23% of traffic, almost 10% less than last year (37.27% ), and referrals bring 7.24%. Paid ads make up 1.07% and social media 0.76% of total site traffic.
