To reduce the burden on debtors

Post by Maksudasm »

Large organizations with hundreds of clients and suppliers in different regions of the country use factoring of accounts receivable. The buyer agrees to sign an agreement on the assignment of debt obligations, which allows companies to launch a quick financing scheme.

A construction company supplying various materials for repair and finishing of premises enters into an agreement with a factoring enterprise. As a result, within two weeks from the moment of signing the agreement, the client was able to receive the required amount of 50 million rubles for use. The first funds were transferred to the account of the construction organization within a few days. Then the client of NFC transfers all contractors to factoring services, which helps the company significantly increase the size of cash injections and reduce the load on the sales and service departments.

A well-known regional company engaged in the sale of electrical and household appliances delivered products to a client with a deferred payment condition of up to 120 days. The debtor company applied to a factoring organization for the service with a request to cover the resulting debt in the amount of 27 million rubles.

A simple example of factoring calculation
Let's take the simplest case as an example. The supplier shipped products worth 100 thousand rubles to the client on January 1. The factoring company covers 90% of the amount of the delivered goods. The rate is 15% per annum, additional costs are commissions for processing invoices at 50 rubles per piece. The payment deferment is 180 days. The buyer repaid the debt on January 21.

After processing the invoice, the supplier will receive from the factoring company: 100 thousand rubles * 0.9 = 90 thousand rubles.

The fees for using factoring financing will be:

(100 thousand rubles * 0.9 * 0.15) / 365 * 20 = 739.73 rubles.

In total, the overpayment for delivery will be: 739.73 + 50 = 789.73 rubles.

After the buyer's debt to the factoring company is repaid, it will transfer to the supplier:

100 thousand rubles - 90 thousand rubles - 739.73 - 50 = 9260.27 rubles.
