Convincing my mother that entrepreneurship is better than public service exams was and has been a challenge, and to tell the truth, I don't know if it will stop being one. Getting the people of Espírito Santo used to the advantages of consuming via subscription is also a challenge, because it is not a very common segment here.

MMurad/FGV: What is Like Clube's proposal? What new features does the company intend to offer to the market?

Our proposal is to concentrate in a single board members email database space several companies that sell products and services through plans and subscriptions, being a reference in this sector.

The business model itself is already a novelty, as we are the first marketplace in Brazil to use this model. But we also intend to differentiate ourselves in our language and approach to the customer, offering a personal approach and a light and fun experience. One example is the replacement of the traditional and tiresome “SAC@” email with our “contecomnossaastucia@”, our customer service channel.

Furthermore, since we host companies that have clients with a wide range of profiles, it is important for Like Clube to understand plurality. We will work with audiences and products that range from the nerd universe to fitness, from beer to books. That is why we are, from our logo onwards, black and white, pink and blue, because diversity is cool and respect for differences is part of the experience offered by Like Clube. Since it is very difficult to find companies with this profile, I believe this is also something new.
