Why do prices end at 99 CENTS?
How many times have you been irritated at the checkout by the question “can I owe you a penny?” Have you ever wondered why things can’t just cost a penny, five, or fifty? Well, they can’t, and there’s a very good reason for that – it makes us buy more.
There are a lot of experiments that prove that ending prices with 99, 96, 97 or some other laos rcs data such number has a very strong impact on sales results. I will tell you about one of them (in the meantime, maybe you will become my subscriber ?)
French scientists decided to conduct an experiment to test this hypothesis in conjunction with a British pizzeria. For two weeks, they sold one of their pizzas at the regular price of 8 euros, and then lowered the price to 7.99 for the next two weeks.
What happened? Sales increased by a whopping fifteen percent! Was that just a coincidence? No, because when the price was increased again to eight euros, sales dropped, and when the price was restored to 7.99, they increased again. Regardless of the time frame, the price manipulation affected how many pizzas were sold.
That's all for today. I wanted to share this anecdote with you. Read on!
