Are the much-discussed Swisscom

Post by asimj1 »

Whether the advertising alliance with the three different partners and the three cultures really works is another matter, and competitors should not really care. data really that valuable? Opinions differ middle east rcs data on that. The only thing that is offensive is that thanks to the state majority in Swisscom and the SRG fees, failure like that experienced by Publigroupe, for example, is ruled out. That is where the real "distortion of competition" lies. Perhaps after today's decision it would be more honest if the federal government gave up its majority in Swisscom in the long term and the SRG gave up part of its fees. But - and I am a realist - this will not happen.

The losers of today's decision are clearly Tamedia with its chairman Pietro Supino and the Swiss Media Association, who clearly opposed the advertising alliance. Not even the argument of former Weko deputy head Patrick Krauskopf in the "Sonntagszeitung" that such a construct would not be possible in any other country was convincing. That is at least remarkable. The argument that this advertising alliance is sending a signal against Google and Facebook was - and today's decision shows this - far more compelling.
