If salts come out of the old base to the surface, the luxembourg mobile database is made insulating, otherwise this salt will destroy the finish. Insulating primers are even used under tiles for cladding, to prevent rapid peeling of the decorative finish. The most reliable and affordable at the moment are quartz primers, the most breathable and high-quality.

Finishing materials

Manufacturers offer paint and varnish compositions diluted with water or solvents/thinners. Moreover, the instructions strongly recommend purchasing the appropriate primer at the same time. Only a combination of two compatible components will give an ideal result.

Which paint to choose
The material can be smooth or textured, which expands the possibilities.

The most commonly used acrylic paints are water-diluted. They are perfect for application on concrete, brick and stone surfaces. The materials are water-resistant while being vapor-permeable. They have good adhesion, are frost-resistant and do not fade.
Polyurethane and alkyd paints. These are compositions on organic or synthetic solvents. They do not react to alkaline environments, as well as temperature changes. Water, ultraviolet and mechanical attacks are not scary for them. Such paint on concrete for the base will last a long time if applied in combination with a suitable primer.
Silicone paints. They have proven themselves well on highly porous surfaces. They are suitable for both application to new bases and restoration of old ones. Not the lowest price justifies the quality of the product. They do not prevent steam from coming from the structure, they let air through, but not moisture.
Polyvinyl acetate paints have a glue (PVA) base and are diluted with water. They are cheap, but wear off fairly quickly. Several cleaning cycles can significantly reduce the quality of the layer.
