To meet John Deere’s growing demands, Welocalize embarked on a project to expand and double our annual translation volumes in three languages: Turkish (TR), Hebrew (HE) and Greek. Our main focus was the translation of manuals and internal documents, which faced tight deadlines and the challenge of working with a complex tool.
Challenge:
The main challenges we faced included expanding our team across the three target languages, finding a solution to streamline our workflow using a unified tool, managing capitalization, and dealing with difficulties in calculating word counts. The online tool we used was time-consuming and not all linguists felt comfortable working with it. Additionally, projects were typically large-scale, with word counts out of scope, making it time-consuming to finalize smaller segments within the overall project.
