You can now connect your Twitter profile to your Shopify store and link an Instagram-like carousel of around 50 products for sale to your Twitter profile . These will automatically update and users will be redirected directly to your store with a single click.
However, the update falls short of competing platforms in terms of functionality, as Meta platform users don’t even have to leave the respective app for the checkout process. In general, many platforms focus on expanding e-commerce capabilities as it increases engagement and revenue . TikTok, for example, charges a small commission for each sale, and while neither Instagram nor Facebook charge a fee, Meta recommends business users use “sponsored ads” to increase product reach to attract customers.

Meta brings updates for Whatsapp with call link feature and Instagram with repost feature
Just like we know from Zoom or Teams, it is now possible to share links for a WhatsApp call with friends, family or business partners.
In late September, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the update, and that the company is also testing encrypted video calling with up to 32 people. We’ve been waiting for this capability for WhatsApp community calls since April 2022 , and now it seems the feature is available to some, according to TechCrunch . At the moment, Meta hasn’t released any further details o vp engineering email database n the matter, though it’s safe to assume the feature will be rolling out soon.
WhatsApp users can easily create a call link in the options to create a video call. Once the app provides a link, it can be shared in chats and the video call can be started.
Instagram has confirmed to TechCrunch that users will soon be able to repost other users’ posts and reels. A company spokesperson wrote in an email to TechCrunch : “We’re exploring the ability to share posts to the feed – similar to how you can share to stories – so people can share what they like and for the original creators to be recognized for their work. We plan to test this soon with a small number of people.”
Social media consultant Matt Navarre first discovered the feature on Adam Mosseri's own Instagram account . Previously, users had to use third-party apps to reshare tagged posts, reels, or photos.
