[Sharing by Senior Brother] Tips on Brand Follow-up Sales: Explanation on Brand Follow-up Sales Being Locked

Post by monira#$1244 »

If you don't know what brand lock is, let me explain it again. If you try to follow-sell some products, you will find that there is no option to follow-sell. The system prompts "you need to get approved to list this brand", which means that if you want to follow-sell this brand, you have to submit information to Amazon for review before you can start following-sell. If our own brand can be locked, it would be great, and it basically cures the stubborn problem of being followed by others.

Some people say that the brand must be registered to be eligible, some iran telegram number database say that the trademark must be officially effective, and some say that the cumulative sales must reach 200,000 US dollars to be eligible. Unfortunately, none of these have been confirmed. My brother's account (brand) meets all three conditions, and it can still be followed in the background.

I opened a case to ask Amazon, and got the following reply today:

Greetings from Amazon.com Seller Support,

This is Darius with the Product Quality team. Amazon will occasionally restrict brands based on complaints that the item is not as described on the detail page. There is no way to specifically block your brand or apply to have it restricted at this time.

Brand Registry only ensures that you have higher detail page control over third party sellers and does not automatically restrict the brand.

The information clearly shows that brand registration has nothing to do with brand locking. Amazon decides whether to lock the brand based on customer (merchant) complaints. It can be understood that if a brand is complained by many buyers as counterfeit or not the same as the picture, then the brand is more likely to be locked (followed), that is, the brand is frozen. Of course, the fact hidden in this logic is that a brand can be sold by multiple sellers. . . Assuming that one of the sellers sells counterfeit or not the same as the picture, and is complained by many customers, it is estimated that this brand is likely to be frozen soon.

Sellers who are still copying other brands should pay attention. Please make sure to properly control risks and inventory. Even if the brand you are copying is not frozen now, it may be frozen one day in the future. If you cannot provide the audit information at that time, the OFFER will be removed and the FBA inventory will be worrying. The loss is heavy!
