Google SafeBrowsing is a diagnostic service from Google that examines the websites indexed by its search engine for unsafe content (malware).
In short: if you appear on the list of unsafe sites in Google SafeBrowsing, you have a serious problem with your website.
When Google detects an unsafe site, in addition to adding it to the colombia phone number list list, it will indicate in Google's search results that the site is unsafe and will not recommend visiting it, which will greatly affect the number of visits we will receive from the browser.
In addition, in some browsers such as Chrome, when we try to access a website that is on the blacklist, it will show us a prior message informing us of the danger.
With all that said, it is clear that we do not want Google to identify our site as unsafe.
The sites that Google identifies as unsafe, because they put the user's computer at risk when visiting the website, can be divided into 2 groups:
Malware site: These include code that will try to install unwanted software on the computer of the user who accesses the website. This is usually done so that hackers can obtain sensitive user information (passwords or other private information), or to use that computer later in tasks such as mass attacks, etc.
Phishing site: The site will try to impersonate another website, so that visitors think they are on the page they are imitating and thus enter sensitive information. A typical example of phishing is creating a spoof of a bank's website, so that users, thinking they are on the real website, will enter their username and password, data that the hacker will then use on the real website.
To avoid having these kinds of problems, it is important that we respect a series of security rules in our WordPress to make it difficult for bad guys.
These security measures range from basic aspects, such as having a secure password to access the administration, to more complex issues, such as not using vulnerable plugins.
There is also a specific category with articles on WordPress security, where new entries will be published periodically.
