Although it is not easy, living outside of North America has been one of the best experiences in Heather's life. This restless young woman from Indiana (USA) found love and a second home while traveling through Galicia and did not want to leave. And although she admits to missing her family and friends a lot, she also recognizes that the pace of life and Galician customs are becoming more and more a part of her own life every day.

How long have you been living in Galicia? And rcs data lebanon did you choose this destination?
The truth is that I had always wanted to live outside of the US, specifically in Europe, but it was fate that brought me to Galicia . After graduating from college, I took a trip around Spain and during that month I came to Galicia for the first time, to visit a Galician friend. For a weekend she and I went to the town where her mother lived and there, I met a very special guy. From the moment we met, I knew he would be my soulmate. I have now been dating this guy for three years and living here in Galicia for two and a half years , with no plans to leave.

Did you have a job when you arrived? How did you get one?
As everyone knows, finding a job in Spain is not easy these days, especially for foreigners. Luckily, a friend of mine who was already living in Spain told me about the American Language Assistant Program. It is a job teaching English conversation classes in primary schools, secondary schools and language schools in Spain. I applied for a job as soon as I could and although I got one of the last positions on the list, it was in Galicia , because most Americans don't know much about the region. Now, I have been in the program for 3 years and I work in a high school in the town of Noia.
