Growing conditions: loves the sun, but will tolerate shade. Wind, dust, smoke, gas resistant, suitable for urban landscaping. It is advisable to plant on fertile, humus loams with a slightly acidic or neutral reaction. Does not like stagnant water and salts in the soil. The soil around the trunk must be regularly loosened, as the plant does not tolerate compaction and dryness. Unfortunately, in the Moscow region, maple can freeze, especially suffers in severe frosts.

It is used as a solitaire and for landscaping alleys. Ornamental foliage varieties look especially good in a group.

Please note these varieties:

Atropurpureum is a tree with a broadly conical crown. The top of the leaf blade is dark green, and the bottom is red-purple. Maple Atropurpureum
Brilliantissimum – grown either on a standard or as a shrub, grows slowly. In spring it is distinguished by a bright golden color with green and salmon-pink shades, in summer it has a warm green color. Maple Brilliantissimum
Leopoldii (Variegatus) is a tree up to 20 m high with brightly variegated foliage, covered with white and yellow strokes, and pink in spring.
Norway maple, or sycamore maple
The Norway maple, or sycamore (Acer platanoides) is the most japan mobile databaseand recognizable species of maple, it was brought to Russia by Peter the Great. At first, it was grown in the Summer Garden under careful care, as it was considered insufficiently winter-hardy. Subsequently, it spread throughout the European part of the country, and currently, Norway maple shoots are disposed of like weeds.

This is a large massive tree, growing up to 30 m in height with a dense crown. The leaves are five-lobed, up to 18 cm long. Their autumn color depends on how warm or cold, rainy or dry the past summer was. The color varies from yellow to orange, sometimes it can be purple. Very decorative are the small yellow flowers that appear on the plant in April-May, even before the leaves bloom. They combine beautifully with the black bark of the tree.

Growing conditions: grows in any light. Wind-, dust-, smoke- and gas-resistant, suitable for city life. Grows best on moist, fertile loams with a high humus content and slightly acidic or neutral reaction of the environment. Does not tolerate excess moisture, acidity, compaction and increased soil salinity. Quite winter-hardy, but decorative forms can freeze and suffer from frost cracks in the trunk. Norway maple easily tolerates pruning. Even adult trees (up to 10-15 years old) tolerate transplantation.

It is used in group and solo plantings. Compositions consisting of varieties with permanent purple leaf coloring and varieties that change their color from green to red and vice versa look interesting.

Please note the following varieties:

Globosum is a tree 4-7 m high with a round or spherical crown, usually cultivated on a standard. This is one of the most popular varieties. Maple Globosum
