The Recycle Bin in Windows 11 temporarily stores deleted files, allowing you to restore them when needed. However, you can customize its storage capacity to suit your needs or even set it to permanently delete files without sending them to the Recycle Bin. Here's how to customize Recycle Bin storage settings in Windows 11.

Windows assigns a default storage size to the Recycle Bin, but you can increase or decrease this limit depending on your preferences.

Step 1: Locate the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop. If you don’t see it, right-click on an empty area of ​​your desktop, point to View, and select Show Desktop Icons.



Step 2: Right-click on the Recycle Bin icon and select Properties from the context menu.
