If audio is multiplexed with video, and a separate audio rendition is provided, we use the audio from the selected video variant. If multiple AAC audio tracks are provided, we choose the highest bandwidth track contained in the rendition.
Choose the region closest to your encoder's media source location:
US West Northern California - Oregon, United States
US East Northern Virginia - Northern Virginia, United States
EU Frankfurt - Frankfurt, Germany
Asia Pacific Tokyo - Tokyo, Japan
How do I use a restricted HLS stream as a media source usa telegram data in Producer in Media Studio?
If you have a restricted HLS URL by IP or geo-restriction, you can allowlist all X IP addresses that might try to read your stream and then use it in Media Studio. These IPs are specific to the media source region you selected, so they may be different in different media source regions. To view these IPs, go to the Media Sources tab and click into your HLS media source. Expand "Recommended Encoder Settings" and scroll down to the "IP Range" field.
Why does my HLS stream seem to be pulling in a lower variant?
For live streaming on X, we ignore variants that don't apply bad codecs and too high bitrates and choose the variant with the highest resolution, but no higher than 1280x720.
In LiveCut, even if you are bringing in a higher quality stream, the editor may still display a lower quality variant.
