Digital inclusion!
Associative side: Train & Equip
Associations such as Emmaüs-Connect are mobilizing to "reduce digital exclusion" and support people in their digital uses.
This starts with a digital diagnosis to assess the degree of familiarity with digital tools and thus offer an adapted course. Emmaüs-Connect also helps people with modest incomes to equip themselves (computer, smartphone, recharges). The course is made up of training, workshops and personalized sessions in order to gradually bring beneficiaries to digital autonomy.
Let us illustrate this with the objectives of the support offered by Emmaüs-Connect

We see that access to digital technology has the concrete objective of giving beneficiaries access to their rights, to health, to employment, to housing and also to use social networks.
Emmaüs-Connect is looking for volunteers to help the most vulnerable learn the basics of digital technology [Link: Become a Volunteer ]
Other associations, often with a more local influence, exist.
It should also be noted that some companies are involved in inclusion, such as the Orange Foundation.
Public sector side: Coordinate
Initiatives have been launched throughout the territory: in social centers, digital centers, municipalities.
The Digital Society Mission aims to support the digital transition of territories in terms of uses, access to rights and services. It supports the population in its skills development. Let us recall that nearly 14 million French people are "distant from digital technology".
The challenge of this mission will be to orchestrate and coordinate efforts so that the energy and money spent are truly effective.
This mission has created an inclusive digital label to identify initiatives.
Note: Personally, I find the idea behind this label interesting but judge more severely the eligibility criteria which mix many subjects and ultimately reject digital inclusion in 4th and 5th place. This label also seems stillborn, because since its birth announced in the press, it has remained silent. Concretely, what is the point of subjecting associations to an obligation to use open source to manage their actions?
This means that an association using a standard CRM on the market to manage the journeys of its beneficiaries cannot benefit from this label. Open Source is good, but that is not the issue.
Don't mix everything up, an inclusive digital label must focus on its objectives!
A State that must better support its projects
The DIPT (Interministerial Directorate for Public Transformation) pilots and coordinates the public transformation program by setting guidelines and imposing rules.
Accessibility, Simplicity
How long has it been since accessibility was declared a national cause?
Almost 20 years! And it is clear that the state still excludes citizens who are uk telegram data nevertheless digitally liberated. This exclusion is multifactorial: overly complicated website, technical jargon and accessibility principles not respected. The user experience sometimes turns into an obstacle course.
Digital identity
Let's cross Europe diagonally: Estonia and Spain have a REAL digital identity. France is lagging behind. The France Connect initiative is worthy but still exposes all the complexity of its system. The post office is pushing to impose its own digital identity standard. Identity must by nature be unique, not multiply.
…and in any case most services require re-entering the same information over and over again.
DLN1X, Tell us once
It is not enough to invent an acronym that sounds like a video game for it to spread. Besides, who remembers this acronym?
The procedures are certainly dematerialized but we stopped halfway. Why do all administrations ask for the same documents several times?
We can also ask ourselves in some cases, why have to submit a request when the administration already knows everything?
Some countries in Europe prohibit themselves from re-requesting documents published by the administration.
And in our projects?
We, ESN, digital players, how can we participate, in consultation with the administration, in the construction of a more inclusive state?
Here are some avenues for reflection:
