How to choose insulation for a wooden shed

Post by zihadhosenjm40 »

Ecowool is more expensive than regular mineral or stone wool, but is considered an environmentally friendly and moisture-resistant material. It reliably retains heat inside the room.

Polyurethane foam is quite an expensive insulator. But nothing better has been invented yet. It is moisture-resistant, does not sag even with long-term use. It reliably retains heat in the structure.

For insulation of the barn, it is better to choose paytm data foam. It does not absorb moisture and does not deform during use.

Polyurethane foam for insulation is laid in one layer, while cotton wool is laid in two or more. The choice in this case is obvious.

Waterproofing of walls, floors and ceilings
When building a barn from wooden boards without a foundation, special attention is paid to waterproofing. It must be done on all surfaces of the structure - from the floor to the ceiling, so that moisture does not get inside and does not interfere with the comfortable stay of livestock in the barn.

Waterproofing can be:

coating;
pasting;
painting;
sprayed.
Also used as water insulation are bentonite mats, membranes and injections.

Coating waterproofing is bitumen, a substance with a pungent odor. It is not effective, but it is cheap. Pasted insulation is the best choice for a shed. It is a roll material that is attached to the surface itself. Painted insulation is similar to paint, while sprayed insulation (in the form of powder) requires special equipment. Injection layer requires large financial costs. Mats or membranes are expensive and increase the thickness of the walls. But they reliably protect the building from moisture. If there is no financial constraint, it is better to choose mats or membranes. Their service life reaches 70 years.
