Last year , interest in current affairs reached its lowest level since 1987. It has risen again this year, although it remains below the performance of the 1990s and 2000s. 67% of respondents follow the news with (great) interest (+5 points).
However, this figure hides some disparities. First nigeria cell phone number list between generations. Young people don't care. Less than half of 18-24 year olds say they are interested in current events (49%) compared to 74% for those over 65. Furthermore, only 51% of the least qualified are interested.
It is worth noting that the Edelman Trust in Institutions Barometer makes the same observation . while global citizens are eager for change, they are more interested in and engaged with current events. globally, 40% of those surveyed by Edelman not only consume news once a week or more, but they also systematically amplify it by sharing it.
