In another case, something quite interesting happened. Dell asked its employees to start writing and sharing content on LinkedIn. They didn’t tell them exactly what to write about, they just asked them to write about what they thought would be interesting for a professional social network.
So a group of employees decided to do just that. One of them was a mid-level manager at the company, and his father had recently iran mobile database away. He decided to write an article about what he had learned about business from his father, and it exploded on the platform with tons of views. He quickly became the second most-viewed profile in the company, after the CEO, Michael Dell.
Obviously, he did not write it imagining this repercussion. Nor did he want to sensationalize his father's death. He simply wanted to share what he had learned from him, which certainly influenced the professional he was today, working in that company.
What kind of content to write?
