SEO Optimization in Wordpress

Post by mostakimvip06 »

What attributes should be used for proper optimization? Are plugins needed? We will try to answer all these questions with a practical case: the website of Maria Gallart , designer of linen dresses made in Barcelona.

As experts in organic positioning or SEO for Wordpress , we must be up to date with those plugins and/or tools that are necessary to achieve good web optimization.

First of all, it is important to keep in mind that working on a website with WordPress involves installing plugins, a finite number of plugins depending on the needs of the website. We always recommend installing only those plugins that are absolutely necessary. Some of these plugins may be: SEO Yoast, Google Analytics and/or Tag Manager, cookie policy, 301 redirection…

For our client Maria Gallart we checked whether or not she had installed the Yoast SEO plugin, or Rank Math as an alternative (there are other SEO plugins, but these are the ones that really work best). This plugin will help us work on the title japan telegram data and description of each page, post or product that the website has. By default, the title of the page and the first lines of the page content will always appear, but it can be edited to include those concepts that interest us at an SEO level .

In parallel, another plugin that should be installed is the redirection (301 redirection), although it is not necessary if we opt for Rank Math, since it has a built-in module with this function. We often find that there are URLs (already indexed) pre-defined by the title of the page and when we, the marketing people, arrive, in 99% of the cases, we have to modify them. To avoid 404 errors , it is advisable to use the plugin to work on the old URL and the new URL optimized for web positioning.

Another important aspect to take into account when optimizing a Wordpress website is the sitemap . By default, the Wordpress sitemap is generated by pages, products, categories, news, tags, authors… Here we must manage and review which pages we are interested in indexing and which ones we are not. Within any of these SEO plugins that we have mentioned, we can easily work, we simply have to activate or deactivate those pages and/or categories that we want to work on.

In addition to all this, another important aspect to take into account is that the website loads quickly, since Google announced that loading speed would become a positioning factor . WPO (Web Performance Optimization) is vital, and one way to start applying it is to have an optimized theme, lightweight plugins that do not slow down the loading of the website, as well as optimized images, with reduced weight and the maximum resolution of the space they have to occupy on the screen.
