A well-trained team makes all the difference. Teach them sales closing techniques and provide detailed product information. Encourage them to use the products so they can provide accurate feedback and real-world experiences to customers.

Still using the example of Fuller Brush in direct sales, check out another tip from the founder, Alfred Fuller:

“I washed babies with a backbrush, swept stairs, cleaned radiators and bottles, dusted floors—anything that would prove the value c level executive list what I had to sell.” (American Heritage article, 1986.)

Establish a relationship with the customer
Create a genuine connection by listening to your customers’ needs and offering personalized solutions. Direct selling is built on trust, so be honest and sincere.

Take advantage of interactions to get to know the customer, practice active listening and value proximity, one of the biggest advantages of this model. Show genuine interest and always be available. This helps combat objections in sales .
