How does Google Translate want to take on AI?
On February 8, 2023, Google announced new features for its language translation service, Google Translate. Here are the main features available.

1. A more accurate translation georgia mobile database on the context
Thanks to the integration of AI within Google Translate, the service is now able to understand the context in which the text is presented to it, which allows it to be more accurate when translating .

How will this manifest itself in concrete terms? By the possibility of specifying:

A description of the text
Choosing the translation proposal for a keyword in the text in order to target the rest of the translation
Specific examples in the language targeted by the translation
As you can see in the example below, the user can choose the appropriate translation when a word can be translated in different ways. This allows the translation tool to better target the query and avoid translating a text about a novel, while the user wants to understand something about something original.

This first feature was announced by Google to be available very soon in the main languages: English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese.

2. The ability to translate the text on your images
With recent developments in AI, it's possible to perform more and more manipulation. Translating text on an image in JPG or PNG format is one of them. And this is what Google Translate will now offer its users.

What? Translation of the text present on an image and direct integration of the translation into the original image
How? Through machine learning.
Where? Currently available on Android phones with more than 6GB of RAM
Why? To make the service even more functional and accessible.
