Luz Saúde Group increasingly digital with PRIMAVERA technology

It was born with a strong digital focus and has been constantly evolving its business support systems ever since its inception. With 29 units, including hospitals, clinics and senior residences, Luz Saúde is today the largest private healthcare group in Portugal, constituting a network where everything is designed with an optimisation perspective for a higher quality of service. The ability to adapt to change is a constant and digital transformation is in the organisation's DNA.
In addition to electronic clinical processes, remote consultations, electronic sharing of medical reports and examinations and other digital customer relationship processes, there are major technological projects underway, such as the digitalization of Human Resources administrative management, migration to the most advanced version of ERP PRIMAVERA - version 10 -, electronic invoicing and advanced data analytics.
Since the Group's inception, financial management has been supported by the PRIMAVERA ERP, the foundation of the entire systems architecture, in a puzzle complemented by other activity management systems - from medical-administrative systems to systems supporting examinations, billing and others. A myriad of connected systems, but with a single japan whatsapp number database of control. This is a key factor in information management at Luz Saúde, where the PRIMAVERA ERP is the backbone that manages all accounting-financial, logistics, equipment and asset and human resources information. This is where many systems draw information and where data is channeled, promoting what the institution calls the "single point of truth".
Self-service counter for employees
Digital evolution continues at a rapid pace and will change the lives of the Group's more than 15,000 employees, spread across mainland Portugal and Madeira Island. Soon, all they need is a smartphone and an internet connection to book their holidays, record absences and expenses, access a pay slip or income statement. Administrative people management processes will now take place on an online and collaborative Employer and Manager Self-service platform, perfectly integrated into the Payroll area.
On the road to advanced data analytics
In this path of dematerialization, there will be no more paper invoices. In 2021, it is expected that all invoices will circulate electronically in all of the Group's units, simplifying operations from an accounting and financial point of view. But the cherry on the cake will come with the full migration to version 10 of ERP PRIMAVERA and the implementation of data analytics solutions. Once we get there, the wealth of possibilities is enormous, particularly in an organization where huge amounts of data are produced every day. The goal is to start generating predictive information that helps to act in advance. David Vieira foresees a potential for possibilities. "It will be possible to have algorithms that will provide insights into future supply needs, insights for the area of hiring and retaining professionals and a series of forecasts that it would be a waste not to take advantage of", concludes the DSTI director of Luz Saúde.
GLSMED stands out as a major supplier to the sector
For more than five years, Luz Saúde has had a business unit exclusively dedicated to supplying medical and hospital supplies to the Group's units, but with the outbreak of the pandemic, GLSMED's logistical efficiency has seen it cross internal borders and establish itself as the major supplier for the entire sector at a national level, gaining ground in neighbouring countries such as Spain, France and Italy.
Here too, in this intense logistics activity, the solutions of the Portuguese technology company have proven to be vital. "We have international suppliers who tell us that we are better organized than other players and this is due to PRIMAVERA solutions", highlights Pedro Lima, Logistics Director at Luz Saúde and Administrator of GLSMED.
