Farmers of Tambov Region have started harvesting sunflowers

A record sunflower harvest was obtained in 2021 (over 1 million tons). In 2023 and 2022, the gross harvest of this crop was about 850 thousand tons.

Agricultural producers of the Gavrilovsky, Mordovsky, Muchkapsky, Uvarovsky and Rasskazovsky municipal districts of the region were the first to begin harvesting sunflowers.
According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, this year farmers will have to harvest oilseed crops from 363 thousand hectares.
The largest areas of sunflower fields are in the Inzhavinsky and Petrovsky municipal districts - over 25 thousand hectares in each. In the Muchkapsky, Rasskazovsky, Sosnovsky and Tokarevsky municipal districts - 20 thousand hectares each.
Let us recall that a record sunflower harvest was obtained in 2021 (over 1 million tons). In 2023 and 2022, the gross harvest of this crop was about 850 thousand tons.
Record harvests are achieved thanks to competent agronomic care and the use of modern equipment. It should be noted that seven enterprises in our region are engaged in the processing of sunflower seeds.Andrey Gushchin, Project Director at PJSC Rostelecom: “Nobody is surprised by Wi-Fi these days – everyone has it at home. The presentation was attended by representatives of the region’s tourism industry: the hotel and restaurant business, transport companies and travel agencies.
Olga Vasilyeva, Deputy General Director of the hotel chain: “We have a regional hotel chain and we are expanding, we are growing. Naturally, it is interesting for us to listen and see what Rostelecom is ready to offer, and what solutions will be optimal for us.”
