How to increase anonymity on the Internet and surf more safely?

Post by bitheerani319 »

The internet is interesting. The more you know about it, the clearer it becomes that some things on it are contradictory. So there is a common belief (especially when it comes to trolls ) that the internet is a place that guarantees anonymity, which is, in a way, true.

On the other hand, the internet is all anonymous, and if australia whatsapp list wants to find out something about you and knows how to get to that data (especially if it's hackers ), they'll get it. With more or less effort, but depending on their knowledge, they'll get the information they want.

You don't even need to be a hacker to find out some information about the people you live with and share a laptop with, for example, or to discover what Google knows and thinks it knows about you. If you want to see what Google knows, I suggest you find out here: What does Google know about me?

Whatever you do on the internet and regardless of what you use it for – for work, shopping, social media, watching movies, YouTube, gaming, searching… the internet offers a certain amount of anonymity as well as an absolute lack of privacy, especially when it comes to the data that corporations like Facebook and Google collect about their users.

Anonymity is within our reach if, for example, we want to play trolls and argue on social networks or various portals and forums. It's easy to open a fake profile and write everything we wouldn't say out loud in front of people watching us, even in our madness.

However, nothing is ever completely anonymous on the internet and most users rely on basic security settings and are not even aware of the amount of information they leave behind as soon as they connect to the internet.

The internet is all about anonymity, but also the lack of it. It's impossible to achieve complete anonymity unless you want to wade into the waters of the Dark Web. However, there are certain methods and measures you can take if you want to improve and enhance your online security.
