As fun as it is, Instagram is a place where many have experienced some form of bullying. Sometimes it's a mean comment, and some users complain that they have a person or people on their profile who are constantly terrorizing and harassing them in every possible way.
Media from all over the world are reporting cases of suicides related to Instagram, and psychologists and psychiatrists confirm theories that Instagram is often the main culprit for problems among young people (and the elderly) because it does not take enough care of the content that is posted.
It's hard to control a billion users and all their posts. No matter how cameroon whatsapp list filters Instagram sets up and algorithms it tweaks, unwanted content, inappropriate images, and anything else that can negatively impact other users will always slip through.
What has Instagram done now to make it a better and safer place? With the new update, it introduced two new features – a warning when you want to post an inappropriate comment and the “Restrict” function , which will allow you to limit interaction with another person or several people.
Warning before posting inappropriate comments
Sometimes a troll gets attached to your profile. Sometimes it's someone you know but are no longer on good terms with. Sometimes you know the person but they're posting under a fake name. Sometimes it's multiple people against one, as in many cases of abuse where children suffer the most.
Have you ever felt the need to post a mean comment? Just because you're in a bad mood or you don't like the person in the picture or it's a famous person who you're sure won't even read the comments or is completely numb to them? You don't have to tell me, but admit it to yourself.
From now on, if you want to send someone a mean comment, Instagram's AI (artificial intelligence) will recognize it as abuse and ask you if you're sure you want to post that.

Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, said that they have been working on and testing this feature for a long time, and that tests have shown that most people give up their intention when faced with this kind of question because they stop for a moment, get time to think, and most of them are embarrassed in front of themselves to continue.
It is currently unknown whether and when this add-on will be available in languages other than English, and whether the AI will recognize every little thing, as it is known that internet users know how to use abbreviations and various symbols that mean the same insult, but without fear of being punished.
How is Instagram fighting online violence on its platform?
