, it is unlikely that anyone wants to end up in a cookie-cutter world where every design element looks uniform and boring. So any creative work is about being able to cope with this pressure and approach the task at hand thoughtfully, using your imagination, and finding innovative ways to apply design ideas to solve the problems at hand in a way that is both functional and inspiring.

It's certainly not an easy task, but it's a challenge that ultimately gets the design work done. And to understand where we're headed, we gathered the perspectives of five of the industry's leading developers.

01. Widespread 2D
According to Nils Kloth , creative director of Territory , the world will return to 2D. He noted that despite the increased focus on 3D, there has been a shift in this trend over the last decade.

02. Convergence of digital and physical technologies
Tino Schedler , who is the principal designer at Optimist Inc. in Los Angeles, puts forward the following view: “We are seeing a significant movement toward the gradual integration of physical and digital technologies in the areas of retail, branding , and exhibitions. But as an industry, we have only scratched the surface of these ‘intersecting’ concepts.”

03. Ownership of color
According to Luke Woodhouse , creative director at Ragged Edge , the trend for brands to choose a single color is returning. “With MailChimp going yellow and Coca-Cola bringing back their iconic red cans, we may see more brands going back to their basics. We’ll see companies using whatsapp korean number color as a tool for brand recognition in our world.”

04. Consumer focus
Laura Walters, a designer at The Tin, says, “Animation has become increasingly popular on the web as a way to enhance interactions with site visitors and app users.” Motion animation is becoming commonplace in website design , and we use animation in logo design as well . It gives a new dimension to a static brand.
“Transforming brand personality into motion will be the next step. Brands that present themselves as ‘consumer-focused’ may not choose the most appropriate ways to animate elements; there may be slight inconsistencies.”

05. Increased brand simplicity and transparency
Jared Tomlinson of Standard Black's view is that "plain copy, movement with the least amount of visual transformation, and simple fonts and images will be the main direction in the future."
