Will Reels be a success? There is no doubt that this new Instagram tool will be a huge success for the app. That is what we think, considering that the photography app has copied the way TikTok works, an app that caught the attention of the younger public and that came to have more than 1.5 billion users spread across many countries, mainly in the United States.

Furthermore, this is not the first time that Instagram has added a success to its list by taking inspiration from other applications, for example: with the famous stories, inspired by the functioning of the Snapchat app.

How do Reels work on Instagram?
Reels on Instagram works very simply. Here's how to create videos with background music or other audio with this new tool:

First, go to the app's stories.
At the bottom you'll see the 'Reels' option, along with other options like Super Zoom or Boomerang. Click on Reels!
After clicking on Reels, the app will give you the option to borrow audio from a video or the option to add a commercial song that you want to include. You can search for these songs using hashtags, just like you do on Tik Tok.
Take the video.
After taking the video, you have the option to edit it by applying filters, or modifying the video playback speed or adding timed texts, among other things.
After finishing editing the video, it can be shared in stories, with best friends, or through the app's messaging.
Also, within the 'Explore' section of Instagram, the 'Top Reels' tool has been added, where the most viewed music videos, those with the most impact, those that went viral and those highlighted by the community will appear. Expert TikTokers with the most followers have a golden opportunity here to expand even further. The big question is: Will they choose one of the two apps? Or will they combine both apps to expand?
