Option 1: you need to identify the product that your customers really need. You need to determine the “pains” of the target audience. Simply put, you need to understand the problems that potential buyers of your product have. For this, you can use so-called problem interviews.

For example, you have a hypothesis that programmers have difficulty giving public speeches. However, they need to attend various conferences to develop in their field. Therefore, they may need an online course that allows them to hone their skills.

However, before you start developing the product, test your hypothesis. To do this, you need to find several IT specialists and ask them to answer your questions. Don’t be too direct. Questions can be formulated as follows:

Do you often speak at public events?

What feelings do you experience during such performances?

How do you feel when you conduct a lesson/webinar?

If you do everything right, the person what is 99 acreswill tell you about the problems that you will rely on when developing the course. However, you should not mention your project idea. It is better to focus on the most common situations in which your potential clients find themselves. Even if your hypothesis turns out to be false, you will be able to understand in which direction it is better to move. For example, you found out that potential clients are not afraid to speak, but they cannot fit all their arguments into a short presentation. Therefore, this is the skill they would like to improve.

Option 2: you need to modernize an already created course. In this case, you will need loyalty interviews. Remember that it is impossible to accurately determine the likes and dislikes of your target audience. With the help of loyalty interviews, you can find out what exactly customers like about your product. It often turns out that the benefits that the company sees do not correspond to the benefits that the audience sees.

Go to social media groups related to your field of activity, or contact the administrators of Telegram channels that work for your target audience. Create an invitation post to attract people to an interview. However, do not offer them money. Otherwise, you may recruit people who are not your target audience. It is better to offer people a discount on your online course or a free lesson.
