Rosana A. Agrelo. CEO of The Painter's Wife.
David Romera : Rosana, is entrepreneurship an art?
Rosana Agrelo : If we had to compare it to an artistic movement, we would say yes, possibly, because it involves combining a vision, which is the most conceptual part, with an impeccable technique, which corresponds to operational efficiency... all of this at a specific moment (context) which is what makes that piece interesting here and now.
DR : What was the moment when you thought The Painter's Wife was interesting here and now?
RA : In our case, it happened in a very natural way. We found an abandoned dog and decided to adopt her. Little by little, we realized that she needed simple things like a raincoat, a sweater for the cold, a blanket for the sofa… and everything we found had nothing to do with us.
So, for about a year we studied the market and the competition, created a collection, developed an MVP (Minimum Viable Product), launched an e-commerce and launched the project… all while combining it with our jobs. Today I would say it is impossible, but at that time it seemed so exciting that we did it without hesitation.
