Finding Keyword Opportunities

Post by tongfkymm44 »

Today we bring you a post with which we want to show you how to find keyword opportunities that can help us increase the visibility of our website and bring more organic traffic . First let's discuss what a "keyword opportunity" is.

An opportunity is a keyword for which our website already appears in a relatively good ranking, let's say it could be between position 4 and 10, although it will depend on the difficulty of the sector and other parameters, but as a general example let's take that number. This range of positions means that the keyword is not contributing too much traffic to the website, but it has the potential to rise to the podium between positions 1 and 3, thus contributing much more traffic.

Now that we have a clear idea of what it is, let's see how we can detect them. First we will see it through paid tools and then (in a second post) we will see the option that can be used in the case of not having access to a tool mlm marketing list like the one in the example.

First option: Using paid tools.

There are many tools on the market to see keywords that allow us to find these keyword opportunities. Among them, the ones we use the most at Seocom are Sistrix and Semrush . In this example, we are going to use the Sistrix tool that also offers us the possibility of creating a free trial account. Once we have access to the tool, we log in with our user and a search box appears. In this box, we put the domain we want to search for and we make sure to select the country we want for the analysis. In this case, we will use the SEOCOM.es website and Spain as an example.

This will generate the complete analysis of the domain and we can now go to the option that interests us for this post.

sistrix - keyword selector

In the left side menu we see the keywords option under the SEO title. Click here and it will open the complete list of keywords that the tool has detected in the rankings for our website.

It is important to note that these keywords are those detected by the tool and are not necessarily all the ones that we can have in a position in Google, nor are they all relevant. Here it will be necessary to start working later to make a filter and detect those that interest us.

If we look at the top of the listing page, we will find a filter box that allows us to select between several options. For this example, we will use the keyword position filter and select positions 4 to 10.

With this, we achieve that the list shows us only the keywords that are in position 4 and 10. Now what we have to do is order the words by search volume to be able to see first those that have the most searches on Google.

If we look at the list on the Seocom.es website, we find a very interesting opportunity: Online Marketing Agency , for which we are in 5th position and there is a very interesting search volume. In addition to being a criterion that interests us for our website.

From here, it's time to start playing with the list, sorting, removing words, seeing which landing pages or pages they are associated with and considering the ones that interest us so that we can then do the corresponding analysis to see what we can do with the page at the level of optimization, content or authority to be able to give it a push, thus improving the rankings and obtaining more clicks from organic traffic .

The Sistrix Keyword Tool in its free trial mode is limited and does not allow you to export the list to Excel, but you can find good opportunities by looking at the list and noting what interests you.

For the next installment we will see how to carry out this process using free tools such as Google Search Console (Webmaster Tools).
