Create original metaphors!

Do you have a nose for identifying when a metaphor is a cliché? Most writers have eyes in the back of their heads for that sort of thing, but to the untrained eye it doesn't always go like clockwork . In the previous two sentences you have 4 examples of metaphors that are clichés.

A metaphor is an expression that means something different than what we actually say. What we say is a picture of what we mean. If the expression is cliché, it has been used so many times that it often mayotte email list loses its effectiveness as a writing tool. Using new, fresh metaphors that you come up with yourself can be a powerful tool in creative marketing.
