The 2017 Digital Consumer survey, conducted by Conversion, showed that 93% of Brazilians online have already made purchases online. Companies, noticing this trend, are committed to offering a higher quality service. This has also increased Brazilians' confidence in having online experiences.
A major change in this area is related to the device with which people access the internet. In the past, it was more common to have access to the internet exclusively or largely through desktops and laptops. Today, a huge number of people access the internet through mobile devices (smartphones and tablets). The survey “Digital in 2018 in Southern America”, conducted by Hootsuite, indicates the following data on internet usage by Brazilians:

Active Social Media Users: 130 Million
Unique Mobile Users: 143 Million
Active users on social networks via mobile devices: 120 million

In third place were One-Off Purchases – such as furniture, electronics, and household appliances.
