And why are they so important for your career? Why does Brainster Next College's accredited Software Engineering and Innovation curriculum include the subject Professional Skills?

Why is it important to study the subject Professional Skills?
The formula for building successful companies that can withstand the uncertainty and changes we experience, but also successfully constantly transform and innovate, is no longer just a technically well-prepared team.
The academic and business world is unanimous that soft skills, especially interpersonal skills, are critical for building successful, dynamic, interconnected and flexible teams. The good news is that soft skills are learned and trained, so that was the idea for including this subject in the Brainster Next College curriculum .
What is taught in this subject?
The curriculum is prepared with one goal in mind, to bring the greatest value to students both while studying and when they join a company. They will start with internships in the first year, so for that purpose the subject is included very early in the program itself in the first year and in the first block of the semester.
Students learn organizational communication and how to communicate effectively, from writing emails, to keeping an agenda and M.O.M. in meetings. Then they work on presentations and pitches. We also learn emotional intelligence and dealing with failure, Growth VS Fixed Mindset, time management, setting priorities and effective learning. Teamwork, conflict and negotiations and of course leadership.
