Google Analytics 4 does not include the large number of metrics that appeared in Google Analytics Universal by default. And one of the metrics that we notice is missing from the reports is the bounce rate .

Even with this, we must keep in mind that the definition has changed . The bounce rate previously increased when the user did not change pages, i.e., viewed one page per session and then left the site.

Defining Bounce Rate for Google Analytics 4

For Google Analytics 4, the bounce rate is affected by three switzerland number for whatsapp factors: the amount of time spent on a page, the number of pages viewed in a session, or whether the user has generated a conversion within that page or landing page.

Basically, when any of these events occur, Google Analytics 4 measures it with the 'Engagement rate' metric, and the opposite of engagement rate is the bounce rate .
