To continue our series dedicated to Instagram, today we will pay attention to a specific target group that is characterized as fickle, curious, critical, even crazy. Yes, we are talking about the Millennial generation , (also known as Generation Y) or people born between 1980 and 2000. Having grown up with the rapid change in technology, millennials love to show off what they are doing on social networks, they love to be in the spotlight and they know how to attract attention. They are a real challenge for marketers because they are not fans of boredom and monotony, because even they themselves create trends.
On Instagram, “Millenniums” are more than active and we can rightly say that they are turning themselves into a brand. But how do we attract them to our brand? How do we show them that we will satisfy their needs and that they can trust us? We will try to outline a few tricks that will lead us to success.
Trick 1: Create a call-to-action that actually requires action
One of the best things about Instagram is that it limits our linkedin data ability to put hyperlinks in our posts and spam our followers. From a user perspective, this is great – saying “No” to unnecessary information. However, marketers often have a different opinion. This makes it difficult for them to try to generate traffic to their websites through Instagram.
There is a trick that allows you to use a link: put the link in the “Bio” field (or the field where you described your activity) on Instagram. All you need to do is mention in your post (video or image) “For more information, click on the link in Bio”.

How do we show them that we will satisfy their needs and that they can trust us? We will try to outline a few tricks that will lead us to success.
This is a great practice because all the user has to do is click twice – once on the “Bio” field and once on the hyperlink that takes them to the brand’s website.
Trick 2: Increase your views with a call-to-action placed in the location field.
Putting a link to your website in the location field is a great idea. This will give your call to action extra attention. But be careful with this trick. Remember, all good things go bad when you overdo it.
Trick 3: Attract new followers.
This point creates the most excitement and is the most desirable. There are two great ways to generate new users.
#1 – Follow your followers.
Keep track of who likes and comments on your posts. Follow them and those who have similar activities to yours. You will see that about 10-20% of them will also return the gesture. This is due to the curiosity to see who follows us.
#2 – Follow profiles with relevant hashtags.
We’ve already talked about the power of hashtags . Don’t forget them! The principle here is exactly the same as in #1 – find relevant hashtags and follow those who use them.
Trick 4: Add blank lines to descriptions.
It will be boring for millennials to read long, unbroken lines like in regular, traditional text. What you can do is add white space (spaces). This will increase attention and engagement, and also make the caption more appealing. Also, add emojis and symbols to break up your text.
